GB U18s beaten on penalty shots by Estonia U18s

Great Britain Under-18s were beaten 4-3 by Estonia U18s after penalty shots in their final warm-up game ahead of the World Championship Division II Group A in Tallinn.

Lewis English, Kieran Brown and Richard Krogh were GB’s goalscorers as they held last year’s silver-medallists to a 3-3 tie after overtime.

GB U18s interim head coach, Tony Hand, said: “This was another impressive performance from the team.

“There were so many positives and these two games have shown we can compete at this tournament.

“We now have tomorrow’s practise to fine-tune our preparations ahead of the opening game.”

GB begin the tournament on Sunday when they face Estonia again, this time in competitive action, with an 8pm face-off (6pm UK time).
