Here we go, it’s the final game of the GBSC Virtual World Championships and it’s GB facing France. Winner stays up in the top tier, loser goes down to Div 1A.
The presentation see’s Chris Ellis joined by the coaches and players to talk through the game and discuss what was going through their headsas they came from 3-0 down draw level at 3-3 and force overtime.
The penultimate day of the GBSC Virtual World Championships and tonight we have the IHUKTV Film “Dare To Dream”.
The film see’s the players and staff discuss the 2018 IIHF World Championships Div 1A and that amazing final game where GB came from 2-0 down to equalise and secure a place in the top tier with 15.8 seconds of the final period remaining.
As we build up to the final game of the GBSC Virtual World Championships this Wednesday, we start the week where our journey began.
2017, and with GB hosting for the first time in 24 year, the final game of the tournament saw GB face Japan with the winners claiming Gold and promotion to Div 1A, whilst the losers claimed Silver and stayed in Div 1B.
After a day to recover from the magnificent game against the USA, GB return to action tonight when they face Finland, in game 5 of the GBSC Virtual World Championships.
Tonight see’s GB step onto the ice against the NHL Superstar laden team of Canada, in game 4 of the GBSC. Team Canada are captained by Patrick Kane who’s NHL Contract is worth more than the combined salaries of all of the GB Team.
Not only do we have the full game, we also have Olga meeting the players and fans, as well as the post-game interview with Patrick Kane being chirped by the GBSC fans !
Our pre-tournament friendly against Canada last week may have been cancelled, along with the IIHF World Championships, but Covid-19 isn’t stopping the Great Britain fans enjoying a virtual tournament.
Whilst the Covid-19 Pandemic meant this years IIHF World Championships in Switzerland were cancelled, the GBSC Team are still going ahead with our trip, although from the comfort of our own homes.
