GB Face Hosts Tonight

Great Britain face host Netherlands tonight in their fourth game at the World Championship (Division 1B) in Eindhoven.

Pete Russell’s side have won three out of three so far, beating Croatia (3-2), Estonia (2-1) and Korea (3-2).

Netherlands, who are battling to avoid relegation, picked up a win in their third game of the tournament by beating Croatia 5-2, after defeats by Lithuania (0-1) and Korea (1-7).

Coach Russell said: “No game is easy at this level and this will be a tough game tonight.

“Netherlands are up and running in the tournament now following their win over Croatia and I thought they were very impressive that night.

“They had a slow start this week but that victory shows they are not to be taken lightly.

“But we remain focused and calm. We had a good practice yesterday and the boys were buzzing around.

“I will not accept a drop in intensity and I know these boys will give me everything they have.”
