Schedule Confirmed for U20 World Championship

The full schedule has been confirmed for next month’s IIHF Under-20 World Championship in Brasov.

Great Britain U20s will face hosts Romania, along with Italy, Korea, Lithuania and Spain, in the six-team Division II Group A tournament.

The action runs from 13th to 19th December as the under-20s will take part in their first international competition since winning the silver medal in Vilnius in January 2020.

GB play Spain in the tournament’s opening game on Monday 13th December and face Lithuania the following day.

After a rest day, Martin Grubb’s side meet Korea on Thursday 16th December followed by a match-up against hosts Romania in the late game on Friday 17th December.

The second rest day follows before GB complete the tournament against Italy on Sunday 19th December.

GB announced their 22-man roster last month. The group winners will be promoted to Division I Group B of the U20 World Championship.
