GB U20s name squad for Slovakia trip

Great Britain Under-20s have named a 22-man squad to travel to Slovakia for a training camp next month.
GB will play two matches in Slovakia as part of a week-long camp from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th October 2016.
Tom Watkins’ side will take on Slovakia Under-20s on Wednesday 5th October and then face St Polten, from Okanagan Austria, on Thursday 6th October 2016.

EIHA members’ response was ‘fantastic’, says Grieveson

Ice Hockey UK chairman Richard Grieveson says the response from the EIHA members on his proposal for one governing body was “fantastic”.
The IHUK chief attended the EIHA’s AGM in Nottingham on Saturday and spoke for 45 minutes about his vision, as well as answering questions from the floor.

GB U12s and U14s plans moving forward at pace

Plans for Ice Hockey UK’s new Great Britain Under-12s and Under-14s are moving forward at pace, with the next step to be the appointment of staff for the four squads.
The U12s and U14s will be split into north and south – and these elite development squads will begin for the 2017-18 season.

GB Women and GB U18 Men to go to Korea for World Championship

Great Britain Women and Great Britain Under-18s will both travel to Korea next year for their respective World Championship tournaments.
Korea put in a bid to host both competitions in Gangneung as a taster event ahead of hosting the 2018 Olympics.

Hungary trip for GB U18 Women

Great Britain Under-18 Women will take part in an international tournament in Budapest in October.
GB will face Hungary U18 Women, as well as Poland U18 Women and Spain Women, from Tuesday 4th to Thursday 6th October 2016.

UK official Dalton at Olympic Final Qualifying

UK official Andy Dalton is currently officiating at the Olympic final qualifying tournament in Riga.
Hosts Latvia are in a group with Austria, Germany and Japan, with the group winners progressing to the PyeongChang Winter Olympics in 2018.

IHUK appoint Hand and Beggs to new development roles

He will work alongside Mark Beggs who will have an expansion of his current role and becomes national talent identification officer.
