McDonald’s Extends Sponsorship With GB

Ice Hockey UK are pleased to announced that McDonald’s franchisee Jerry Nicholls has extended his sponsorship with Great Britain.

The famous Golden Arches logo is appearing on the GB shirts for this week’s international matches with Norway in Nottingham and Cardiff.

The tie-up with McDonald’s, through Jerry and his restaurants in Nottingham, covers the sponsorship of Ice Hockey UK’s media output.

This includes IHUK TV, IHUK Radio and online, while the media team have been kitted out in McDonald’s-branded clothing, supplied by Bauer.

IHUK general secretary, Andy French, said: “We are so grateful to Jerry for supporting IHUK and GB.

“It is brilliant to get his support for the Great Britain national programme.

“In addition, their specific sponsorship of our media output means we can continue to cover major tournaments with a full media team.

“It is great to have Jerry on-board against and we look forward to working closely with him once more.”

Jerry Nicholls added: “It’s no secret that I’m a huge Nottingham Panthers fan and a long-time sponsor of them and Ice Hockey UK’s media team.

“I’m immensely proud to now be able to extend that support to my national team.”
