Koulikov: GB U20s were ‘relentless’ against Korea

Great Britain U20s head coach Slava Koulikov says his side were “relentless” in yesterday’s stunning 13-1 victory over Korea U20s in the Under-20s World Championship Division II Group A in Tallinn.

Chad Smith and Josh Waller scored hat-tricks while Kieran Brown scored twice. There were also goals for Morgan Clarke-Pizzo, Jordan Buesa, Tyler Cooper, Masson Biddulph and Liam Kirk.

GB are currently fourth in the group after two games with last night’s win coming on the back of an opening day 6-4 defeat by Lithuania U20s.

Koulikov said: “I thought we were exceptional against Korea. We were relentless all game and there were top-class performances all across the ice.

“Some of the goals we scored were outstanding and we can be very proud of that performance.

“The guys’ response to the defeat by Lithuania and the execution of the game plan was perfect.”
