Great Britain Under-16s started off their weekend double-header with Scotland Under-17s with a 7-0 victory in Dumfries.
The matches in Scotland are part of a training camp for GB ahead of their participation in the Spring Classic in Swindon at the end of the month.
Finley Howells (7:35), James Spence (14:16) and Ross Clarke (17:05) gave GB a three-goal first-period lead.
Bayley Harewood (21:14), Ethan Reid (25:53) and Jarvis Hunt (36:37) were on target in the second session, while Daniel Hitchings scored GB’s seventh in the third period (56:54).
Netminders Lucas Brine and Bradley Windebank shared the shutout between them.
GB U16s head coach, Steven Lynch, said: “This was a great workout for the boys and an excellent team performance.
“There were many good things across the ice and I was really pleased with what I saw.
“Of course, there are things we have to work on as a team but there are so many positives to take from the game.”
The two sides meet again in Dumfries on Sunday at 4pm.
