The Global Girls’ Game will see players from all around the world take part in hockey games and is being held worldwide on 10th and 11th October 2015.

It will start in Wellington, New Zealand and end in Calgary, Canada.

There will also be games in Melbourne, Seoul, Tokyo, Astana, Dubai and Ankara, as well as numerous countries in Europe.

GB will play in Ice Sheffield with a 4pm face-off this Sunday (11th October) and entry is free.

The game, which will see two GB young sides go head-to-head, will consist of two 20-minute periods.

IHUK general secretary, Andy French, said: “Everyone is excited to be involved in a worldwide venture.

“It is an amazing way to link up the women’s game across the world.

“And, from our point of view, we get to showcase some of our best young talent in the women’s game today.

“I would urge anyone who can to get down to Ice Sheffield on Sunday and enjoy being part of something unique.”
