GB U16s Name Squad for Spain

Great Britain Under-16s have named their squad for the international tournament taking place in Spain in April.

The four-team tournament, which is being held in Barcelona, takes place from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th April.

GB and Spain are expected to be joined by Poland and Hungary, although that still has to be officially confirmed.

Britain go into the competition on the back of winning the four-team international tournament in Dumfries in December, where they beat Belgium, Netherlands and Spain.

GB U16s head coach, Robert Wilkinson, said: “I am very happy with the team again with just a few adjustments from the December team in Dumfries.

“We’re hoping to continue the progress we made in Dumfries, but we know the opposition will be tougher this time around.

“This will be a good benchmark to see exactly where we are at with this group of players.

“We’ve included two new goalies as we’ve had four exceptional goalies from the start, so wanted to look at all four in action over the season.

“Louis Chabot, who was unable to make the last tournament, comes in again as he’s someone we’re keen to have a look at in a competitive situation.”
