FOUR NATIONS: GB WOMEN 1-3 POLAND WOMEN

Great Britain were beaten 3-1 by Poland in their second game at the Women’s Four Nations in Katowice.

Magdalena Lapies put away her own rebound on the powerplay to give the hosts the lead (9:40), before Joanna Strzelecka cut inside from the right to fire low past Ella Howard (15:36).

GB pulled a goal back when Chrissy Newman’s shot was saved and Rachel Cartwright buried the rebound on her backhand (45:59).

Britain lifted netminder Howard for the extra skater and Magdalena Lapies made the game safe for Poland with an empty-net goal (59:44).

GB play their final game of the tournament when they face Denmark at 4:30pm (3:30pm UK time).
