The six-team IIHF tournament – involving Great Britain, Lithuania, Japan, Romania, Serbia and Spain – runs from 6th to 12th January 2020 at the Pramogu Arena.
Great Britain Under-18 Women will be joined by Poland U18 Women, Spain U18 Women and Iceland Women for the tournament at the Dumfries Ice Bowl from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th November 2019.
Kerlin has been involved in hockey since 2007 and spent time in Ottawa before returning to the UK in 2010.
The IIHF Olympic Pre-Qualification Round 3 Group J tournament will take place from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th February 2020.
He joins head coach Cheryl Smith and fellow assistant coach James Ashton in the GB Women’s programme.
Clancy, who as a player iced for Altrincham and Flintshire, will combine the role with his position as head coach of Widnes Wild.
GB are in Group A in Lausanne for their second successive year in the top flight, alongside Belarus, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Slovakia and Sweden.
The 28-year-old will combine his new GB position with his role as assistant coach at Elite League side Coventry Blaze.
