Our pre-tournament friendly against Canada last week may have been cancelled, along with the IIHF World Championships, but Covid-19 isn’t stopping the Great Britain fans enjoying a virtual tournament.

The GBSC Virtual World Championships Trip
Whilst the COVID-19 Pandemic may have stopped us all travelling to Lausanne for the 2020 IIHF World Championships, it hasn’t stopped GBSC.
For the next 10 days we will be hosting our own Virtual World Championships featuring all of the things you would expect on a GBSC Trip – Hockey, Crazy Golf, Quizzes and a Theme Day.

GB’s games with Canada and Kazakhstan are cancelled
Great Britain’s games against Canada and Kazakhstan have been cancelled because of the worldwide situation with the coronavirus.
GB were set to face Kazakhstan in Milton Keynes on Sunday 3rd May, followed by the sold-out match with Canada at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on Tuesday 5th May.

Davies: GB in a positive frame of mind
Forward Ben Davies says the frame of mind is positive as Great Britain get ready for their third game at the World Championship in Slovakia.

Historically, one of the talking points around the World Championships has been around the quality pf players. The tournament clashes with the NHL Stanley Cup Play-Offs/Finals, resulting in some of the NHL Stars not being available for their countries. That’s not the case this year.
