STANLEY CUP IN NOTTINGHAM NEXT WEEK

We are very excited and honoured to announce that the Stanley Cup will be coming to the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham next week.

The Stanley Cup is the oldest trophy competed for by professional athletes in North America and is awarded annually to the National Hockey League (NHL) playoff champion.

The Stanley Cup was donated in 1892 by Sir Frederick Arthur Stanley, Lord Stanley of Preston and Earl of Derby, to Canada’s top ranking ice hockey club after visiting the country and becoming an ice hockey enthusiast.

The National Hockey Association took possession of the Stanley Cup in 1910 and it has become a symbol of professional hockey supremacy.

Across the years, the Stanley Cup has visited many countries to delight hockey fans across the world and now it will be making the trip to the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham.

Anyone in possession of a tournament pass or gameday ticket for Friday 5th May will have the privilege of being able to take their own photo with the Stanley Cup in the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham foyer throughout the whole day.

We can’t wait to see you and to see one of the most prestigious sporting trophies in the world.
