Large Crowds For GB Women’s Tournament

The ticket sales for this week’s Olympic Qualifiers at the National Ice Centre already mean Great Britain will play in front of the biggest-ever crowd for a women’s ice hockey game in the UK – and you still have the chance to be part of a special bit of history.

GB Women are joined by Korea, Slovenia and Iceland for the four-team tournament at the National Ice Centre from 7th to 10th October.

IHUK General Secretary Andy French said: “The support from the ice hockey public so far has been great and the crowds will be fantastic, with Sunday in particular being the biggest attendance for a women’s game in the UK.

“The players are going all out to move on to the next stage of the Winter Olympic qualification and it will be great for them to have the backing of a noisy, passionate home crowd at the Motorpoint Arena.”

“That said there is still time for more fans to buy their tickets and be in Nottingham for a special weekend of Olympic Qualifiers.”

The group winners will qualify for November’s Final Qualification tournament for next year’s Winter Olympics in China.
