GB White Defeat GB Blue In Global Girls Game

GB White beat GB Blue 1-0 as Great Britain took part in the IIHF-inspired Global Girls’ Game.

The two sides were made up from a GB girls’ development squad of the some of the best young talent, aged between 13 and 18.

The game at Ice Sheffield saw the GB Women’s head coaches go head to head, twins Cheryl Smith (GB White) and Michelle Smith (GB Blue).

Suzanne Pearson scored the only goal of the game to win the game for GB White.

A total of 29 games took place across the world over the weekend, starting in New Zealand and ending in Canada, with Team Blue beating Team White 106-83 in a calculation of all the matches played.
