GB Prospects Games Announced

A Great Britain Senior Prospects team will face Romania in Scotland next month.

Romania will play two games in Scotland as part of their preparations for the World Championship (Division 2A) tournament in Iceland.

A Scottish Elite Select side will play Romania on Wednesday 8th April (7:30pm), while the game between the GB Senior Prospects and Romania takes place on Friday 10th April (7:30pm).

Both matches are taking place in the Fife Ice Arena.

The Senior Prospects team has been chosen by GB Men’s head coach Pete Russell and other GB coaches – and the team will be coached by Martin Grubb and Simon Leach.

Jim Anderson, chairman of Ice Hockey UK, said: “I would like to thank Fife Flyers and Fife Ice Arena for helping us out at short notice, so we can play host to Romania and help their preparations for their World Championship tournament.

“Alma Greger has stepped back in to manage the team and Craig Cooke will be equipment manager. I would like to thank them for giving up their time for these games.”

Tickets are priced at £10 adults and £5 concessions for a single game, or £16 adults and £8 concessions special combined price for both games.
