Bronze Medal Game for GB U18 Women

Great Britain Under-18 Women face Kazakhstan U18 Women today in the bronze-medal game at the World Championship (Division 1 Qualification) in Spittal, Austria.

GB won two of their three group games, against Poland and Australia, to finish second in Group B and book themselves a game with the second-placed team in Group A.

Head coach, Michelle Smith, said: “They have done so well to get to where they are now.

“The way they have grown as a group this week has been fantastic.

“We have come such a long way is a short space of time.

“Kazakhstan will be tough for us today but if we play like we have previously in the tournament, we can beat them.

“The coaching staff are very proud of what they have achieved so far.”

Today’s game faces-off in Spittal at 12noon local time (11am UK time).

Italy finished top of Group B and will face Group A winners and hosts Austria for the gold medal.
