GB Futures Get U16 Tournament Underway
GB Futures Head Coach Euan King says the players will gain so much experience being part of the under-16 men’s Four Nations tournament in Tallinn this weekend.
All 3 of the on-ice leadrship team were a part of the GB team that took part in GB’s first tournament, the Women’s World Challenge in Green Bay in August 2022.
The GB Futures flew in for a pre-tournament training camp which started on Monday ahead of tomorrow’s opening game with HS Riga.
The tournament will feature six teams, including Great Britain, Australia, Canada, USA, Norway, and team World, comprised of players from several nations.
The 30-year-old, who won 52 caps for Great Britain, made her debut in 2011 at the IIHF Women’s World Championship Division II in Caen
GB will face USA, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Austria and Hungary in the group stages at the 12,000-seater Swiss Life Arena.
