GB U20’s Win Warm-Up Game

Great Britain’s U20 team ended their Finnish training camp with a 7-3 win over an U20 select in Grankulla this evening.
After two on-ice practices and several off-ice sessions, this was the first game where coach Peter Russell had his full 22-man squad together.

Great Britain Under-20s will play a warm-up game in Finland as part of their final preparations for the 2015 U20 World Championship (Division 2A).
The GB youngsters will face Helsinki U20s on Friday 5th December on their way to the IIHF tournament in Tallinn.

The GB side went through an extensive program and were subjected to the now routine tests, which enable the staff to see where the program is going in terms of national and, more importantly, international standards.

Great Britain Under-20s head coach Pete Russell has added forward Toms Rutkis to his squad for next month’s World Championship in Tallinn.
The 17-year-old Swindon Wildcats forward has dual citizenship with Latvia and Great Britain – and Ice Hockey UK had to check with the IIHF about the youngster’s eligibility before naming him in the squad.

GB Women Off-Ice Camp

Great Britain Women are holding a mid-season off-ice camp at the University of Gloucester this weekend.
The camp will enable all the staff to assess the progress the players have been making.
GB Women are building up for next year’s World Championship (Division 2A) tournament, which is being held in Dumfries in March 2015.
