GB Announce C and A’s for Para World Championships

The Great Britain Womens Para Ice Hockey team have today announced their on-ice leadership team for the inaugural Womens World Championships, which are being held in Dolny Kubin, Slovakia.

All 3 of the on-ice leadrship team were a part of the GB team that took part in GB’s first tournament, the Women’s World Challenge in Green Bay in August 2022.

GB Futures Four Nations Schedule Announced

GB Futures are all set for the men’s under-16s Four Nations which begins in Tallinn, Estonia on Thursday.

The GB Futures flew in for a pre-tournament training camp which started on Monday ahead of tomorrow’s opening game with HS Riga.

Saffron Lane (Allen) Awarded an MBE

Many congratulations to Saffron Lane (Allen) who has been appointed an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours list.

The 30-year-old, who won 52 caps for Great Britain, made her debut in 2011 at the IIHF Women’s World Championship Division II in Caen

GB Men in Group A at 2026 Worlds

Great Britain will based in Zurich in Group A for the IIHF Men’s Ice Hockey World Championship which takes place from 15th to 31st May 2026.

GB will face USA, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Austria and Hungary in the group stages at the 12,000-seater Swiss Life Arena.

The IIHF have confirmed the venues next year’s World Championship tournaments.

The 2026 tournament schedule was rubber-stamped at the IIHF’s annual Congress which is taking place in Stockholm during this year’s World Championship.

Under-16 Men’s Head Coach Jamie Elson says the juniors who represented Great Britain at the prestigious Watersley Ice Hockey Tournament earlier this month have an exciting future.
After three victories in five group matches, GB finished in third position with a final-day 4-2 victory over German side Krefeld Penguins in the placement game.
