GB confirm captain Phillips with assistants as Dowd and Richardson
Great Britain have confirmed Jonathan Phillips as captain for the World Championship in Latvia, with the assistants named as Robert Dowd and Mark Richardson
GB arrived in Latvia on Sunday and have been preparing for tomorrow’s World Championship opener against Russia, who are ranked second in the world.
Richardson has won 87 caps for his country since making his debut back in 2005, with the 34-year-old scoring six goals and contributing 17 assists for 23 points.
Countries can select a 28-player roster for this year’s tournament and Russell has announced an initial 27, with one player to be added in the coming days.
