IIHF To Move 2021 World Championships
The IIHF have announced today that the 2021 World Championship will not take place in Belarus because of safety concerns.
The 16-team tournament is set to run from 21st May to 6th June 2021.

New coaching team named for GB U16 Women
Nicci Wardell has been named as the new head coach of Great Britain Under-16 Women.
Wardell has worked for four years with the England programme, spending a year as coach of U14 boys and three years as coach of the U14 and U16 girls.

Hartmann and Brown named GB U18 assistant coaches
Richard Hartmann and Andy Brown have been named as the new assistant coaches for Great Britain Under-18s.

Host nations confirmed for 2021 World Championship tournaments
The host nations for the 2021 World Championship tournaments involving Great Britain have been fully confirmed following the IIHF annual Congress.
GB Women to begin Olympic Qualifying campaign in Korea next year
Great Britain Women will travel to Korea next year to begin their bid to qualify for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
As well as facing the hosts Korea, GB will come up against Slovenia and a qualifier from the previous round.
U18 Women’s World Championship tournament to be held in Dumfries
Ice Hockey UK and Dumfries and Galloway Council have won their bid to host the 2021 Under-18 Women’s World Championship in Scotland.
The Division II Group A tournament will be held at the Dumfries Ice Bowl from 19th to 22nd January 2021.
Tony Hand to oversee GB Women’s programme
Tony Hand’s role within the Great Britain programme is being expanded to work with GB Women.

GB’s two matches with Hungary cancelled
Great Britain’s two matches with Hungary have been cancelled because of the worldwide situation with the coronavirus.
