GB Futures Head Coach Euan King says the coaching staff have been really impressed with the dedication shown by the players throughout this weekend’s under-16 men’s Four Nations in Tallinn.
The four-team tournament concluded on Saturday with Estonia beating GB to secure the gold medal.
King said: “We battled hard all game but special teams were the difference.
“It’s a really, really good learning experience for them to understand what international competition looks like.
“It has showed them what they need to do to push on and represent the national team in the future.
“The coaching staff have been really impressed with the dedication they have shown through this process.
“The aim is, of course, to see these guys progress and one day wear the GB jersey at a World Championship.”

The team for the trip was selected following a two-day national development camp which brought together 54 of the top under-16s players from across the home nations.
The GB Futures programme is a new collaborative initiative between IHUK, EIH and SIH, designed to align and strengthen the national development pathway.
It connects talent identification and coaching networks across the UK, while giving young athletes the opportunity to represent Great Britain and develop toward formal IIHF competition.
