Rowbotham named GB Under-18 Women’s manager

Claire Rowbotham has been named as the new manager of Great Britain Under-18 Women.

Rowbotham has previous management experience with Sheffield Steeldogs and is the current chair of Sheffield Shadows.

She is also a manager at Sheffield Academy, as well as being part of the England management team.

Rowbotham said: “It’s a privilege and a great achievement to become manager of Great Britain Under-18 Women and be given the opportunity to support and be part of the GB programme

“I look forward to working with the squad and work with players who I have seen grow and develop over the past few years as part of the England programme.

“Thank you to IHUK and GB Women’s head coach Cheryl Smith for giving me this amazing opportunity.”

Smith added: “I would like to welcome Claire to the GB Women’s programme and I know she will do a fantastic job.

“Her previous management experience shows how highly regarded Claire is within the sport.

“Claire joins the very experienced Debs Cito who will now focus fully on GB Women.

“I believe we now have a great management team who can help us immensely in the coming years.”
