Great Britain equipment manager Jason Ellery – know across the ice hockey world as Taff – was presented with his 150th cap.
There were also special debut caps for David Clements, Lewis Hook and Josh Tetlow who were all named on the 22-man roster.
It’s GB second successive campaign at the top level after avoiding relegation in the final game in Slovakia in 2019, coming from 3-0 down to beat France 4-3 in overtime.
GB arrived in Latvia on Sunday and have been preparing for tomorrow’s World Championship opener against Russia, who are ranked second in the world.
GB are based in the Group A venue of the Olympic Sports Centre for the tournament and they start against Russia on Saturday, before facing Slovakia, Denmark, Belarus, Sweden, Czech Republic and Switzerland.
