Great Britain Women have named their captaincy team for this week’s trip to Slovakia.
GB left the UK yesterday for their training camp which will include two matches against Slovakia, who are ranked 14th in the world.
Georgina Farman will wear the captain’s armband, with Saffron Allen and Lauren Summers as her assistants.
GB coach, Michelle Smith, said: “We have a whole host of experienced players in the locker room.
“These three are well respected in the locker room, which is important.
“They also set examples on the ice with their performances.
“The three of them have a great passion to play for GB and have all the attributes you need in a captaincy team.”
GB and Slovakia go head-to-head on Friday 15th July and then a day later, on Saturday 16th July.
Great Britain will undergo training sessions today ahead of tomorrow’s first game.
Both matches are taking place at the Zimný štadión Petržalka in Slovakia.
