GB Women to Face Netherlands

GB Women will play two games against the Netherlands as part of their preparations for the World Championship tournament in Dumfries.

The two sides will go head-to-head in Dordrecht on Saturday 7th February and in Tilburg the following day.

After last weekend’s training camp, head coach Paul Burton has now named his team to take part in the two games.

Burton said: “The girls have worked tirelessly this season and the warm-up games will give us a chance to assess our progress and start to fine tune our game on the international stage.

“The Netherlands play in the division above us, so will provide excellent opposition in the build up to the Worlds.

“The team is still short of some of its overseas players but, with the final team still to be announced, it’s up to the players to grab the opportunity.”

Dumfries Ice Bowl will host the IIHF World Championship Division 2A tournament from 30th March to 5th April 2015.

GB will go head-to-head with Croatia, Kazakhstan, Korea, New Zealand and Poland.
