GB needed to win the game by two goals in the final match of the Olympic Preliminary Qualifying Round 2 tournament, but came up short.

Great Britain Women were beaten 4-3 by Poland in their second game in the Olympic Preliminary Qualifiers Round 2 in Astana.
GB first came from 2-0 down and scored late to make it a one-goal game, but left themselves with too much to do and were beaten for the first time in the tournament.

GB Women 3-2 Mexico Women

Great Britain Women scored two goals in the last 81 seconds to secure a dramatic 3-2 victory over Mexico Women in their opening game at the Olympic Preliminary Qualifying Round 2 in Astana.
Saffron Allen’s equaliser was followed 21 seconds later by Angela Taylor’s winner as GB scored three third-period goals to win the game.

The famous Golden Arches logo is appearing on the GB shirts for this week’s international matches with Norway in Nottingham and Cardiff.

GB Women named squad for Olympic qualifiers

Great Britain Women have named their squad for next month’s Olympic qualification tournament in Astana.
The four-team tournament runs from 3rd to 6th November, with the winners going through to the next stage in December.
GB take on hosts Kazakhstan, along with Poland and a qualifier from the first round.

Korea put in a bid to host both competitions in Gangneung as a taster event ahead of hosting the 2018 Olympics.
